Shipping

Receiving goods at our doorstep is a service many rely on. Our own business itself could not exist without shipping. Yet delivery service is getting stretched to extremes as mega companies battling to outpace one another offer faster and faster services. This onslaught encourages folks to choose these extremes even when not necessary (see Marketplace APM radio report here). These are also services that most small businesses can not afford to offer, making it more difficult for small businesses to compete and survive. What’s more, it takes a toll on the environment, on our cities, on our neighborhoods, on our communities, on our health.

The aural (noise) and environmental pollution plus infrastructural stresses are significant. What’s more the bulk of the deliveries come from just a few companies that dominate market share and push small businesses out of business. There is increasing recognition that free shipping disguises all of these cost and cultivates an over reliance on shipping that extracts a hidden cost on our world.

These conditions have lead to some tough decisions concerning our shipping and return shipping policies but we’re joining the growing cohort of businesses that charge for shipping and do not offer same day or express service. It’s just clothing, it’s not critical or a life-saving necessity. We realize this makes us less competitive and we’ll like loose business but our survival as a enterprise is not worth the overarching toll.

We’re also just enamored with walking and biking and sometimes going to a nearby store is the only exercise we get and we really don’t want to end up in a Wall-E hover chair. We also like the random human contact that reminds us to flex our humor and charm skills - shared laughter with a stranger is one of the loveliest forms of goodwill (Marketplace Report: Why Its Important We Interact with Strangers ).

Domestic Orders

  • We ship via USPS Priority Mail with delivery arriving usually within 2 to 3 days after order is placed.
  • USPS provides a delivery confirmation that can be used to track your package.
  • We can not guarantee the delivery dates and we’re not able to provide any additional tracking information other than that provided by USPS.
  • Standard shipping does not include insurance and we are not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged route.

Easy Returns & Exchanges

We very much want you to be happy with your piece so if you find it’s not for you, items that are unworn and in unused condition can be returned for a refund within 14 days of receipt. Exchange shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer. Email us within 14 days of receipt to request a return authorization. Once return authorization is received, items must be shipped within 4 days.
