Reselling and the different options to do so have increased and made the process easier. Consignment shops can be one of the best options since this supports local businesses and cuts back on emissions. Other solid options include online resell services like ThredUp, Re/Done, What Goes Around Comes Around, Open for Vintage, TheRealReal, Ebay, Poshmark and the emergence of social buyers clubs on various apps.

Reusing and repurposing takes many forms and is open to interpretation. Resizing (i.e. shortening hems), re-dyeing to change the color, swapping and collaging clothing are all ways to extend the life of a garment.

Recycling (and/or donating) may require a bit more thought than it use to. Over the past few decades US clothing has flooded overseas markets, drowning out local clothing businesses and often ending up in their landfills. Using a local recycling organization who converts textiles for industrial purposes is a better alternative. If this is not available, you can always send us any Substrate piece where it will be up-cycled, repurposed or sent to a local recycling organization to be converted into industrial material.
